Whether you are writing an article on- or offline, a Web site, a thesis, a paper,
a book or just a mail, you should take care about the links you use.
If the link target becomes unavailable, your readers need to search for the new
URL. This problem has never been solved until PermanentLinks.org came up:
- Before linking to the resource, create a Permanent Link pointing to the resource.
- Instead of using the real URL, use the Permanent Link returned by this Web site.
- If the target resource becomes unavailable for whatever reason, you get notified
by email.
- You can then use this information to search for the new location of the resource
and fix the link.
Really easy to handle broken links and serve your users, right?
